Dance Camp Chicago offers competitors the chance to compete with their fellow dancers in the following competitions categories:
  • Two-Step Jack 'n' Jill
  • West Coast Swing Jack 'n' Jill
  • Strictly Two-Step
  • Strictly Swing
  • Pro-Am Two-Step
  • Pro-Am Swing
  • Rising Star Routines

See the registration form/flier for the various levels of competition offered for each of the above.  The Strictly and Jack 'n' Jill West Coast Swing Competitions are World Swing Dance Council (WSDC) events and follows the WSDC rules.

The Two Step competition will follow the same general rules where appropriate.

Pro-Am competitions are offered in both the strictly and routine categories and in two age groups, under 40 and 40 and over.  Participating in Pro-Am offers competitors an opportunity to perform 'strictly' dancing or routines with their instructors in the friendly Dance Camp environment and to gain experience in dancing before our supportive audience.  Note: Our Pro-Am competitions are not United Country Western Dance Council sanctioned and our rules are very relaxed.

The contest coordinator and chief judge is Doug Rouser.

Detailed Dance Camp Chicago competition rules are available for download and for anyone wishing to compete at Dance Camp Chicago, it is required that you familiarize yourself with the rules:
