          *Treasurer:  Rich Cooper

*One-year position (two available):  Tobi Oberman,  Penny Rush

§         Even though nominations are closed, there is one other two-year position available (a not-so-subtle hint that we’d love to have you run for the position).  Write-in votes will be accepted. §         Be sure that you have a voice in the future of SNC by being (or becoming) an SNC member and by casting your ballot.

Da Dance Camp

February 22 - 24, 2008

Ten Years of Opening Nights!

Waterford Conference Center
Elmhurst, IL (map)

We’re only a couple of days away from the 10th annual Da Dance Camp. Let’s recap some of the festivities planned for this grand weekend:

  • A Friday Kick-off Dance Party (featuring a Mario Robau seminar, competitions, and open dancing in at least one ballroom from 9:00 p.m. – 3:00 a.m.

  • Plenty of dance competitions including Just Dance, Jack n’ Jill, and FirsTimer competitions.

  • A Saturday night Dinner and Theme Dance.

  • A Sunday brunch and awards presentation.

Information on the above is available on the Dance Camp Web site, as is the final schedule for the weekend. Also note that online registration is still open, but will close Wednesday evening, February 20 at approximately 11:00 p.m.

Join your friends as we celebrate “Ten Years of Opening Nights,” from February 22-24.  And lest we forget, should you wish to stay nearby (making it easier to jump out of bed and onto the dance floor), the Quality Inn in Elmhurst, Il, located adjacent to the event, is a great place to say! We’ll see you at Da Dance Camp!

Volunteers Welcome!

As Da Date for Da Dance Camp is almost here, Volunteer Coordinator, Tobi Oberman, is calling all Da Gang members to Da Cause of Da Boss.  You can reach Tobi by phone 847-324-3123 or by email.

If you want plenty of time to play during the weekend but could also use some of those SNC points as well as food, does Tobi have a plan for you!

Help with transportation of Da Goods (equipment, decorations, etc) to and from Da Storage locker...or with laying and/or picking up the floor...or with setting up/taking down decorations.  You get your choice of activity, you get fed, you get points, and you get plenty of time to party!
